Three great friends nattering, walking and loving the cottage, its surrounding countryside and the Manor gardens. A very comfortable stay indeed.

A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous valley with the delightful Iford Manor on your doorstep. Marianne was so helpful with bringing extra heaters (the cottage was cold on arrival but the outside temperature was -5 degrees!) and helping us when we ran into problems on the snow and ice in our car. The cottage was comfortable and reasonably well equipped but could do with a few more things such as hand soap in the kitchen. There were beautiful walks in the local area and the cottage is well situated for exploring Bath.

A beautiful well kept country cottage with large very comfy beds....in a truly wonderful location. The baths provided were the ideal size, there was plenty of hot water and the showers also worked well. We stayed here in May from a Monday to a Thursday and as the Iford Gardens are closed to the general public on Monday & Tuesdays we were able to walk around them completely by ourselves....which was a definite bonus. The hosts, William and Marianne, were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. They also have a cafe/restaurant next to the cottage which is very popular so it is wise to book. There are plenty of walks in the area and many interesting places to visit. Plus several pubs nearby serving above average fare. If there is one request I would make it is to request the availability of a dustpan and brush!

Compelling, beautiful countryside. Quiet, charming cottage. We were delighted to meet both William and Marianne. Our four guests appreciated the fact that all bedrooms are en suite and equipped with high quality Beds, two Super and one King. I’d strongly recommend the “supper club” (affordable food and wines, but spectacular flavours!) Iford should be very happy with the cheerful and professional young staff in the cafe and restaurant. I liked the fact that all communications were unambiguous and everything ran like clockwork. If you don’t know the region, but enjoy walking and hiking, I’d strongly recommend a visit.

A very special place, words can't do our stay justice, we had a perfect stay with our 5week old. The accommodation is so well equipt and thought out, not to mention beautiful too! Then the gardens! Wow, they are incredibly breathtaking and we felt so lucky we got to enjoy them by ourselves. Walking up to the cloisters (as an Italian that hasn't been home since pre-pandemic) I got very emotional. There's a very spiritual and peaceful feeling in this garden and I could've stayed forever! Thank you so much Marianne and William, you have a very special place here xx

A delightful stone cottage in an idyllic location on the River Avon. The gardens are exceptional and the hosts quite welcoming and helpful. A terrific country getaway and easy trip from London. HIghly recommended.
